Allyson and Thomas tied the knot on a blazing hot June day at the stunning, newly opened venue, The Well at Cherry Well Farm in Winchester, KY. Allyson, a teacher by profession, is the most organized bride we’ve ever worked with. From the moment we arrived to capture the details, everything was perfectly in place. Her meticulous planning truly shone throughout the entire day, making each moment seamless and smooth.

The Perfect Venue Close to Home

One of the best parts about this wedding was how close the venue is to our home, making it incredibly convenient. The Well at Cherry Well Farm is light, bright, and filled with natural light—an absolute dream for photography. The venue’s modern, airy feel provided a beautiful backdrop for both the ceremony and reception. Crystal, the venue owner, was fantastic to work with, and we can’t wait to return to this gorgeous space for more weddings in the future.

Weathering the June Heat

Let’s talk about the weather—it was HOT! With temperatures soaring on this June day, everyone did their best to keep cool. Despite the heat, Allyson and Thomas, along with their bridal party, were absolute troopers, braving the warm weather with smiles and grace. As the night went on, a storm began to roll in, adding a touch of drama to the sky. Thankfully, the storm held off until the end of the night, allowing us to capture a spectacular exit with thunder and lightning lighting up the sky—no rain, just nature’s light show!

Allyson’s incredible organization was evident in every part of the day. From the getting-ready process to the ceremony, every detail was thoughtfully planned. The fresh flowers provided by her family were a beautiful, personal touch, adding warmth and charm to the celebration.

From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with open arms, making the day feel warm and inviting. Of course, Allyson and Thomas made sure to incorporate their personal favorites into the celebration! Allyson, ever the planner, didn’t forget to have her signature Angry Orchard cider on hand. It was the perfect, refreshing drink to help her cool off from the June heat. Meanwhile, Thomas kept things classic, enjoying some Bulleit bourbon throughout the day. The couple’s relaxed yet thoughtful approach to their drink selections reflected their laid-back yet intentional personalities, and it was so fun to see them both enjoying their favorites as they celebrated with their loved ones!

Tacos, Cupcakes, and a Whole Lot of Fun

The food was an absolute hit with the guests. Fistfull of Tacos provided a delicious buffet, serving up mouth-watering Mexican fare that kept everyone coming back for more. It was the perfect choice for a summer wedding. For dessert, Sugar Belly Baking treated everyone to an array of cupcakes, along with a stunning wedding cake that looked almost too good to eat—but believe us, it tasted as amazing as it looked!

A Lively Celebration

The reception was full of energy, thanks to DJ Connection, who kept the dance floor packed all night. With Allyson’s family, friends, and guests ready to celebrate, the night was a fantastic party filled with laughter, dancing, and love. It was clear how much Allyson and Thomas are adored by those around them.

We were also so impressed by the fantastic team of vendors who brought Allyson and Thomas’ vision to life. Hollie Regan from Wildflower Salon and Studio did a beautiful job on hair and makeup, giving Allyson a flawless bridal glow. The dresses from Azazie looked stunning on the bridesmaids, and the groom and groomsmen were dapper in their attire from Men’s Warehouse. The signage from Vistaprint and stationery by The Knot added a polished touch to the overall design of the day.

The Exit and Thunderous Finale

One of the most memorable moments of the night was the grand exit. As Allyson and Thomas walked out, thunder rumbled in the distance, and lightning lit up the sky, creating an electric, unforgettable moment. Despite the storm brewing, the weather held off just long enough for everyone to make it home safe and dry, capping off an absolutely perfect day.
